Covid Protocols

CBCKidz is following the Irvine Unified (IUSD) Covid-19 policies as a framework, which are based on CDC and CA Department of Health guidelines, and to incorporate biblical principles

  • Love God and Love Others

    • God desires us to worship and fellowship together, and an in-person meeting is the best way (Acts 2:42-44)

    • Spur others to continue meeting (Hebrews 10:24-25)

    • Do not judge others for making different decisions on covid risks (1 Cor. 8:9-13)

    • Care for and prioritize the needs of those who are more vulnerable, children under 12 who are not vaccinated. 

  • Biblically-based decisions guided by the best available science

    • Decisions are driven by faith, not by fear (2 Timothy 1:7)

    • Be humble and learn from the best available science

  • Honor Civil Authorities (Romans 13:1)

    • Follow federal, state, and local guidelines as much as possible 

Prevention/Screening: 
  • Please don’t go to church if sick with any symptoms or been in direct contact with anyone with positive Covid 19. 

  • We recommend if someone is sick for 2-3 days to get tested. 

  • Lastly, if a child has 1-2+ ongoing symptoms during class, we will isolate them from other children, and call parent(s) to pick up,We will follow up with the family to make sure everything is okay.

  • Face Masks are "highly recommended" indoors for students and teachers/helpers.

  • Physically Distance, not socially distance 

  • Hand Sanitize or Wash Hands (before, during, after the program) 

  • Planning Center Check-In will be used 

  • A picture of the class taken (kept confidential, not distributed, covered undersigned waiver form) 

  • Air purifiers purchased for CM rooms (B&P Committee)

  • Rooms ventilated as best as possible

  • Lysol wipes used for frequently touched areas

 
Other Items:
  • Snacks may be provided after entire program is over. It will be under the discretion of parents to decide where to eat.

  • Discourage water fountain usage. Instead, use personal water bottles

  • We will not conduct temperature checks when entering

  • Student with medical conditions, unable to wear masks, are recommended to stay home OR wear a face shield along with drape over nose and mouth.
